Capricorn

THE HORN OF THE MATTER

A half submerged Sea Goat embodies the myth of Capricorn, representing the earth reaching from the depth of the oceans to the mountains tops. In the background, the Matterhorn is used as the mountain as a kind of pun since it contains the words “matter” and “horn” both connected to the symbology of Saturn – the ruler of Capricorn as well as the clock to highlight the connection with time from Saturn as Chronos. At the bottom of the ocean, the silhouette of cityscape can be seen, to illustrate Capricorn’s connection with civilizations and that all things must fall in order for new structures to appear. The sacred geometry is a ten-pointed star as a nod to Capricorn’s rulership over the 10th House.
